Issued 09:37 AM EDT 13 June 2024 Conditions are favourable for the development of squalls with wind gusts up to 50 knots, frequent lightning and hail.

Severe thunderstorms are expected to develop over southern Ontario this afternoon and will track across Lake Simcoe this afternoon and evening.

Large hail can damage vessels and cause injury. Vessels without lightning protection should make their way to shore immediately. Mariners are advised to prepare for potential squalls. Vulnerable vessels are most at risk and should seek safe harbour if underway. Consider delaying or postponing travel in areas under the Squall Watch.

Issued 09:37 AM EDT 13 June 2024 Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms which may produce tornadoes. Strong winds, large hail and heavy rain are also possible.

Severe thunderstorms are expected to develop over southern Ontario this afternoon and will track across Lake Simcoe this afternoon and evening.

Tornado watches are issued when atmospheric conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms that could produce tornadoes.
