Western Lake Erie

Issued 9:50 PM EDT 11 June 2026 Conditions are favourable for the development of squalls with wind gusts up to 50 knots and frequent lightning.

A line of thunderstorms is expected to track across Lower Michigan and may move over the lake around midnight.

In addition to damaging wind gusts, a tornado cannot be ruled out.

Mariners are advised to prepare for potential squalls. Vulnerable vessels are most at risk and should seek safe harbour if underway.
