Lake Winnipeg - north basin
Issued 3:14 PM CST 08 March 2021 10 to 20 cm of snow will fall over parts of Manitoba on Tuesday.Snow will begin overnight tonight, bringing 10 to 20 cm by the time it tapers off Tuesday night. In addition to heavy snowfall, the southern edge of the warning region may receive some freezing rain.
A low pressure system will move into the province tonight, bringing heavy snowfall with it. A band of heavy snow will bring accumulations of 10 to 20 cm from the Riding Mountains, through the Interlake, to Poplar River on Tuesday.
The snow will taper off Tuesday night.
Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
