Wind northwest 15 to 20 knots diminishing to variable 10 to 15 near midnight then increasing to southeast 25 Tuesday morning. Wind increasing to southeast 35 to 45 near noon Tuesday and to east 45 to 55 Tuesday evening.

Flurries this evening. Snow Tuesday becoming rain or snow. Visibility 1 mile or less in snow.

Freezing spray warning in effect.

Over open water freezing spray late this evening. Freezing spray over northern sections Tuesday.

Temperatures minus 16 to minus 8 rising to minus 6 to plus 2 Tuesday evening.

Issued 9:30 PM NDT 16 March 2026 Tonight and Tuesday At 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight deepening low 987 mb located over southern
Quebec.
By 9:30 p.m. NDT Tuesday approaching low 951 mb located over
Ungava Bay.

At 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 p.m. NDT Tuesday departing ridge located east of the
Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:24 PM NDT 16 March 2026 A deepening low pressure system will approach the district on
Tuesday. Gale to storm force southerly to easterly winds will develop
over all waters ahead of this system.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
North Labrador Coast - north of Saglek, Northwest Labrador Sea, and
East Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
