Isle Bank.
At 4:00 p.m. NST today deepening low 961 mb located east of the
Grand Banks.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Friday merging low 938 mb located east of Belle
Isle Bank.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:58 PM NST 7 December 2023 A low pressure system southeast of the Labrador Sea will movesouthwest over Belle Isle Bank this evening. At the same time, a
second low pressure system east of the Grand Banks will track quickly
northeastward and rapidly deepen. The two systems will merge together
Friday morning and remain quasi-stationary southeast of the marine
district. Gale to storm force northeast to northwesterly winds will
diminish to strong to gale force on Friday as the lows merge.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Mid Labrador Coast and East Labrador Sea - southeastern half.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters except East
Labrador Sea - northwestern half.
