Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:27 AM NST 15 November 2018 A powerful low pressure system east of Funk Island Bank will continue
eastward through the forecast period. Meanwhile, a trough of low
pressure is expected to intensify off the coast of Greenland on
Friday. Gale to storm force northwesterlies are expected over all
waters in the wake of the low today and tonight. Strong to gale force
northwesterlies will persist on Thursday for offshore waters in
response to the trough.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
South Labrador Coast and South Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in
effect for all remaining waters.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Lake Melville, South Labrador Coast and Mid Labrador
