By 9:30 a.m. NST Thursday departing low 955 mb located over the
East Labrador Sea.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:41 PM NST 13 November 2019 A deepening low pressure system near Lake Melville will continue to
intensify as it moves to lie over the East Labrador Sea Thursday
morning. Strong to gale force northeasterlies ahead of the low will
shift to gale to hurricane force northwesterlies in its wake this
evening. Westerly winds will slowly diminish late on Thursday as the
low moves northwards into Davis Strait.
Marine interests are advised that hurricane force wind warnings are
in effect for Mid Labrador Coast and the Labrador Sea. Storm warnings
are in effect for South Labrador Coast and North Labrador Coast.
A gale warning is in effect for Lake Melville.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Lake Melville and the Labrador coast.
