Issued 4:00 AM NST 20 January 2026 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 4:00 a.m. NST today low 1003 mb located over the North Labrador
Coast.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Wednesday low 996 mb located over Ungava Bay.

At 4:00 a.m. NST today deepening low 1000 mb located over eastern
Quebec.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Wednesday deepening low 980 mb located over the
South Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:53 AM NST 20 January 2026 A low pressure system over the North Labrador Coast will drift west
and lie over Ungava Bay overnight tonight. Strong to gale force
northeasterlies are forecast to develop over northern waters ahead of
the low today.

Meanwhile, a second low pressure system over Eastern Quebec will
deepen as it tracks northeast across the Quebec Lower North Shore
before lying over the South Labrador Sea by tonight. Strong to gale
force northeasterlies will develop ahead of this low with gale to
storm force westerlies to northwesterlies developing in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
South Labrador Coast and South Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in
effect for all remaining waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all open waters.
