Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 PM NDT 1 April 2025 Tonight and Wednesday At 4:00 p.m. NDT today intensifying low 992 mb located over the
northeastern Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 4:00 p.m. NDT Wednesday low 974 mb located over the South
Labrador Sea.

At 4:00 p.m. NDT today dissipating ridge located over the East
Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 4:00 PM NDT 1 April 2025 A low pressure system over the Northeastern Gulf of St. Lawrence will
intensify as it tracks northeastward across the Belle Isle Bank
tonight, and then further deepen as it moves to lie nearly stationary
over the South Labrador Sea on Wednesday. Strong to gale force east
to northeasterlies will develop ahead of the low this evening and
increase to storm to hurricane force north to northwesterlies on
Wednesday.

Marine interests are advised that hurricane force wind warnings are
in effect for South Labrador Coast, Mid Labrador Coast, and South
Labrador Sea. Storm warnings are in effect for all remaining waters
except Lake Melville.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for South Labrador Sea and Northwest Labrador Sea.
