At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight deepening low 975 mb located over eastern
Funk Island Bank.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Sunday low 974 mb located over Belle Isle Bank.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:24 PM NST 23 January 2021 A low pressure system over Funk Island Bank will move northwardstonight and will drift slowly westwards across Southern Belle Isle
Bank on Sunday. Strong to gale force northeasterly to easterly winds
over southern waters to the north of the low will increase to gale to
storm force overnight then persist throughout Sunday.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
South Labrador Sea - southern half. Gale warnings are in effect for
Lake Melville, South Labrador Coast, Mid Labrador Coast, South
Labrador Sea - northern half, and East Labrador Sea - southern half.
