Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 PM NDT 14 April 2026 Tonight and Wednesday At 4:00 p.m. NDT today trough located on a line north-south over
Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 a.m. NDT Wednesday departing trough located east of the
Marine District.

At 4:00 p.m. NDT Wednesday approaching trough located over Hudson
Strait.

At 4:00 p.m. NDT today ridge located over northern Quebec.
By 9:30 a.m. NDT Wednesday ridge located on a line north-south
over Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:31 PM NDT 14 April 2026 A trough of low pressure over the Labrador Sea will move east of the
marine district by Wednesday morning. Strong southeasterlies ahead of
the trough will shift to strong to gale force northwesterlies in its
wake.

A second trough of low pressure will approach the marine district
from the west on Wednesday. Strong to gale force southerlies are
expected ahead of this trough late in the day on Wednesday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for Mid
Labrador Coast, North Labrador Coast, South Labrador Sea, and
Northwest Labrador Sea.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
