Issued 4:00 AM NST 11 December 2023 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 4:00 a.m. NST today low 980 mb located north of the MarineDistrict.
By 4:00 p.m. NST today departing low 974 mb located north of the
Marine District.
At 4:00 a.m. NST today intensifying low 999 mb located near
Cape Cod.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Tuesday low 985 mb located over the South
Labrador Coast.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:43 AM NST 11 December 2023 A low pressure system north of the marine district will continuenorthwards throughout the day today. Strong to gale force south to
southwesterly winds in the wake of the low will diminish today.
Meanwhile, a low pressure system near Cape Cod will intensify as it
tracks across Southeastern Labrador tonight and over the East
Labrador Sea on Tuesday. Gale force southerly winds will develop over
extreme southern waters south of the track of the low tonight.
Winds will shift to strong to gale force north to northwesterlies
over all offshore waters in the wake of the low on Tuesday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
South Labrador Coast, South Labrador Sea, and East Labrador Sea.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for North Labrador Coast and Northwest Labrador Sea.
