Wind southwest 45 to 55 knots with gusts to 65 diminishing to west 30 to 40 early this evening and to west 20 to 30 near midnight. Wind diminishing to southwest 15 early Tuesday morning then increasing to south 25 to 35 late Tuesday morning. Wind veering to west 25 to 35 Tuesday evening.

Showers changing to rain Tuesday morning.

Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 9:30 PM PST 8 December 2025 Tonight and Tuesday At 9:30 p.m. PST tonight departing low 986 mb located over the
North Coast.

At 10:00 a.m. PST Tuesday frontal system located west of the
offshore waters.
By 10:00 p.m. PST Tuesday frontal system located from the Central
Coast to Vancouver Island.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 4:12 PM PST 8 December 2025 A frontal system has moved through the northern waters today.
Expecting southwest storm to gale force winds to persist through the
northern waters tonight before weakening on Tuesday morning.

Southwest gale force winds will continue through Juan de Fuca Strait
and Haro Strait this evening , easing later tonight as the frontal
system tracks farther inland.

Another front will approach the offshore waters on Tuesday, bringing
southeast gales to the central and northern waters. Winds will shift
to strong to gale force westerly behind the system Tuesday night.
