Issued 4:00 AM PDT 2 November 2024 Today Tonight and Sunday At 4:00 a.m. PDT today trough located on a line north-southover Bowie.
By 10:30 a.m. PDT today trough located from Haida Gwaii to Explorer.
At 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight ridge located from Hecate Strait to
Explorer.
At 4:00 p.m. PST Sunday low 1004 mb located west of Bowie.
By 9:30 p.m. PST Sunday low 996 mb located west of Haida Gwaii.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 12:55 AM PDT 2 November 2024 A sharp trough over Bowie this morning will continue to move east.On this morning, southerly gales ahead of the trough will be quickly
replaced by more prominent northwesterly gales behind the trough over
the outer coasts.
A flat ridge of high pressure is building early Sunday morning. This
will give a calming trend until the next low pressure system
approaches Haida Gwaii on Sunday evening. Ahead of the low, southerly
gales and possible storms will develop on Sunday night. Behind the
low, northwesterly gales, storms, and possible hurricane force winds
will follow suit early Monday.
