Issued 3:46 PM PDT 23 May 2018 A ridge of high pressure over the offshore waters is spreading strong
northwesterly winds off the west coast of Vancouver Island.
These winds will persist through Thursday.

Over the inner coastal waters, strong to gale force inflow winds are
expected to develop through Juan de Fuca Strait early this evening
and persist through early Thursday morning. Marginal northwesterly
gales are expected through Johnstone Strait tonight.
