By 4:00 p.m. PDT today low located over northern BC interior.

At 4:00 a.m. PDT today weakening trough located over northern
Vancouver Island.
By 4:00 a.m. PDT today weakening trough located over central
BC interior.

At 5:00 p.m. PDT today building ridge located west of the offshore
waters.
By 5:00 p.m. PDT Wednesday ridge located on a line
northeast-southwest over the offshore waters.

At 4:00 a.m. PDT today ridge located on a line north-south over
Victoria.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:39 AM PDT 20 August 2019 A trough of low pressure over Haida Gwaii will swing towards the
Northern BC Interior tonight. Gale to storm force southerlies ahead
of the trough will persist today for most of the offshore, northern
and central waters.

Another trough of low pressure currently offshore will approach
Northern Vancouver Island tonight. Ahead of the trough strong to
Gale force southeasterlies will develop over Southern Explorer, and
along West Vancouver Island tonight.

A ridge of high pressure will build in the wake of the troughs
spreading strong to gale force northerlies over Bowie and
The northern waters tonight. Strong to gale force northwesterlies
will develop over Explorer, and along West Vancouver Island on
Wednesday.
