By 4:00 a.m. PST Tuesday trough located west of Vancouver Island.
At 9:30 p.m. PST tonight building ridge located over northern
BC interior.
By 10:30 a.m. PST Tuesday quasi-stationary ridge located over
BC interior.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:20 PM PST 16 February 2026 Gale force northwesterlies will continue over the northern, centraland offshore waters tonight. Winds will weaken slightly on Tuesday
but northerly gales are forecast to persist over the offshore waters.
An Arctic high pressure ridge will build over Northern BC tonight and
continue pushing south on Tuesday. Gale force outflow winds, with a
risk of freezing spray, can be expected through the mainland inlets
along the north and Central Coast from Tuesday through Thursday
morning.
