At 4:00 p.m. PDT today building ridge located on a line
northeast-southwest over southern Haida Gwaii.
By 10:30 a.m. PDT Tuesday quasi-stationary ridge located on a line
northeast-southwest over Queen Charlotte Sound.
At 3:00 p.m. PDT Tuesday approaching frontal system located west
of Bowie.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 4:02 PM PDT 12 April 2021 A frontal system west of Bowie will give strong to gale forcesoutherly winds over the Northern Bowie region beginning Tuesday
evening. Winds will diminish by Wednesday as the system moves away to
the north.
With quasi-stationary high pressure over the BC Interior, outflow
winds persist through mainland inlets. In Howe Sound, these
Northerly outflow winds will reach marginal gale force overnight and
in the mornings.
