Issued 9:30 PM PST 4 December 2024 Tonight and Thursday At 9:30 p.m. PST tonight frontal system located on a line
north-south over the offshore waters.
By 10:30 a.m. PST Thursday departing frontal system located from
the North Coast to Cape Scott then to Tofino.

At 10:30 a.m. PST Thursday frontal system located west of the
offshore waters.
By 9:30 p.m. PST Thursday frontal system located on a line
north-south over the offshore waters.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:38 PM PST 4 December 2024 A frontal system over the offshore waters will track across Haida
Gwaii tonight and move onto the North Coast Thursday morning.
Ahead of the front, strong to gale force southeasterlies over
offshore, central and northern waters will continue tonight and shift
to moderate to strong southerly in its wake overnight and early
Thursday morning.

Southerly gales will persist Thursday across central and northern
coastal waters as a second frontal system approaches. This system
will track across the offshore waters Thursday evening and Haida
Gwaii overnight. Ahead of the front, southerly gales will redevelop
over the offshore waters midday Thursday and spread to west coast
Haida Gwaii in the evening.

Localized southeast storms will develop near the headlands of West
Vancouver Island north Thursday afternoon and ease early in the
evening.

Areas of fog will persist in the Georgia basin tonight and gradually
lift through the day on Friday.
