Issued 9:30 PM PST 11 December 2017 Tonight and Tuesday At 9:30 p.m. PST tonight quasi-stationary ridge located over
BC interior.

At 9:30 p.m. PST tonight frontal system located west of Haida Gwaii.
By 4:00 a.m. PST Tuesday dissipating frontal system located over
Hecate Strait.

At 9:30 p.m. PST tonight low 1006 mb located over western Queen
Charlotte Sound.
By 3:00 a.m. PST Tuesday departing low 1012 mb located over the
Central Coast.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:16 PM PST 11 December 2017 A front lies a line north-south west of Haida Gwaii tonight.
Strong to gale force southeasterlies winds will prevail over
Most central and northern waters tonight as the front proceeds
eastward. The front is forecast to depart the area on Tuesday
morning.

Also this evening, a low pressure centre moves from Western Queen
Charlotte Sound to the Central Coast. Gale to storm force
southeasterlies will precede this low, and strong to gale force
westerlies will follow behind it.

Another front will approach the offshore waters Tuesday morning.
Gale force southerly winds will develop over most northern waters on
Tuesday ahead of the front.
