By 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight warm front located on a line
northwest-southeast over Hecate Strait.
At 10:30 a.m. PDT Sunday cold front located on a line
northeast-southwest over Vancouver Island.
By 4:00 a.m. PDT Monday departing cold front located on a line
northeast-southwest over the Washington Coast.
At 10:30 a.m. PDT Sunday departing low located over northwestern
Bowie.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 10:22 AM PDT 22 March 2025 A developing cold front over the offshore waters will arrive thisafternoon bringing southeast gales from Haida Gwaii and the North
Coast through the central waters to Explorer region. Gales will
increase to storm force near the headlands of Vancouver Island this
evening. As the warm front sweeps onto the South Coast it will bring
gales to some inner straits overnight and early Sunday morning.
Winds will diminish late Sunday night. The associated low will drift
across Northwestern Bowie towards the Alaskan Panhandle on Sunday
bringing marginal southwest gales across Northwestern Bowie.
