At 4:00 a.m. PST today quasi-stationary ridge located over northern
BC interior.

At 4:00 a.m. PST today weakening low located over southern
Vancouver Island.

At 4:00 a.m. PST Sunday low located over southern Vancouver Island.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:57 AM PST 2 March 2024 A ridge of high pressure over the interior and a broad low pressure
system offshore will combine to give gale force outflow winds to
Douglas Channel and Dixon Entrance - east, and the Central Coast
today and Sunday.

An area of low pressure approaching Southern Vancouver Island will
produce strong to marginal gale force easterly winds to Haro Strait
and Juan de Fuca Strait - east entrance this morning then ease
midday.
