Issued 10:30 AM PST 16 December 2018 Today Tonight and Monday At 10:30 a.m. PST today frontal system located on a line north-south
over central Vancouver Island.
By 7:00 p.m. PST tonight weakening frontal system located over
the Lower Mainland.

At 10:30 a.m. PST today low located west of Bowie.
By 4:00 p.m. PST today low located northwest of Bowie.

At 4:00 a.m. PST Monday frontal system located west of Explorer.
By 4:00 p.m. PST Monday frontal system located from Sandspit to
Cape Scott then to Explorer.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:17 AM PST 16 December 2018 A weakening frontal system lies across Central Vancouver Island
giving marginal southeasterly gales to the Strait of Georgia this
morning. The system will continue to weaken and move inland this
afternoon.

A low pressure centre west of Bowie will slowly drift
Northeastward today. The low will generate strong to gale force
southerlies for northern and central waters.

The next intense frontal system will approach Explorer on Monday
morning. Gale to storm force southeasterlies will once again develop
across southern, central, and northern waters during the day on
Monday. Hurricane force winds are forecast Monday afternoon for the
headlands of West Vancouver Island North.
