Issued 4:00 AM NDT 14 April 2026 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 4:00 a.m. NDT today trough located on a line north-south overnorthern Labrador.
By 4:00 a.m. NDT Wednesday trough located on a line north-south
over the East Labrador Sea.
At 4:00 p.m. NDT Wednesday approaching trough located over Hudson
Strait.
At 4:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located on a line north-south over
the East Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight departing ridge located east of the East
Labrador Sea.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:44 AM NDT 14 April 2026 A trough of low pressure over Northern Labrador will move to lie overthe Labrador Sea by this afternoon and east of the marine district by
Wednesday morning. Strong to gale force southeasterlies ahead of the
trough will shift to strong to gale force northwesterlies in its
wake.
A second trough of low pressure will approach the marine district
from the west on Wednesday. Strong to gale force southerlies are
expected ahead of this trough late in the day on Wednesday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for Mid
Labrador Coast, North Labrador Coast, South Labrador Sea, and
Northwest Labrador Sea.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
