Wind becoming northwest 35 to 45 this evening except west 55 over southern sections overnight and Friday morning. Wind becoming west 25 to 35 near noon Friday then becoming west 25 Friday evening.

Flurries. Visibility 1 mile or less in flurries.

Freezing spray warning in effect.

Outside the ice edge moderate at times severe freezing spray.

Issued 9:30 AM NST 17 January 2019 Today Tonight and Friday At 9:30 a.m. NST today intensifying low 997 mb located northeast
of Anticosti Island.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Friday low 982 mb located over the South Labrador
Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:16 AM NST 17 January 2019 An intensifying low pressure system northeast of Anticosti Island
will track across Southeastern Labrador today and into the South
Labrador Sea tonight. The low will depart to the east on Friday.
Strong southerlies will shift to gale to storm force northwesterlies
in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
South Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters except Lake Melville.

Marine interests are advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all regions with open water except.
