Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 AM NST 2 March 2024 Today Tonight and Sunday At 4:00 a.m. NST today trough located over northern Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 p.m. NST tonight departing trough located over the eastern
East Labrador Sea.

At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight low 1001 mb located over northern Quebec.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Sunday intensifying low 1003 mb located over the
North Labrador Coast.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:49 AM NST 2 March 2024 A low pressure system developing over Northern Quebec will intensify
as it crosses the Labrador Sea southeastward on Sunday. Gale to storm
force northwesterly winds will develop on Sunday west of the low.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
South Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in effect for South Labrador
Coast, Mid Labrador Coast and Northwest Labrador Sea.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
