Issued 4:00 AM NST 7 February 2026 Today Tonight and Sunday At 4:00 a.m. NST today low 988 mb located over the South LabradorSea.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Sunday weakening low 998 mb located over Labrador
Coast.
At 4:00 a.m. NST today quasi-stationary ridge located over western
Labrador.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:53 AM NST 7 February 2026 A low pressure system over the South Labrador Sea will slowly movewestward to lie over the Labrador coast overnight. Gale to storm
force northeast to northwesterlies will continue over most waters
ahead of the system today with gale to storm force east to
southeasterlies expected in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
North Labrador Coast and East Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in
effect for all remaining waters except Lake Melville.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all regions with open water except South Labrador Sea and
East Labrador Sea.
