Issued 4:00 AM NST 23 February 2018 Today Tonight and Saturday At 4:00 a.m. NST today deepening low 954 mb located southeast
of Greenland.
By 9:30 p.m. NST tonight quasi-stationary low 938 mb located
southeast of Greenland.

At 4:00 a.m. NST today high located over southern Quebec.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Saturday high located southwest of the Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:53 AM NST 23 February 2018 An intensifying low pressure system southeast of Greenland will move
to lie just off the southeast coast of Greenland by this evening,
where it will remain nearly stationary for the remainder of the
forecast period. Meanwhile, a strong area of high pressure over
Southern Quebec will slowly build eastward towards the Maritimes
today, then pass south of the Grand Banks on Saturday morning.
Strong to gale force northwesterlies can be expected over most waters
between these features throughout the forecast period.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Lake Melville.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
