Issued 4:00 AM NDT 11 March 2026 Today Tonight and Thursday At 4:00 a.m. NDT today low 979 mb located north of the NorthwestLabrador Sea.
By 4:00 a.m. NDT Thursday low 985 mb located over the southern
East Labrador Sea.
At 4:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located over northern Quebec.
By 4:00 a.m. NDT Thursday ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over central Labrador.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:45 AM NDT 11 March 2026 An intense low pressure system just north of the Northwest LabradorSea will track southeastward across the marine district to lie south
of Greenland by Thursday morning. Gale to storm force west to
northwesterly winds will persist today and tonight south of low.
Winds will gradually ease on Thursday as a ridge of high pressure
builds in from the west.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
North Labrador Coast - north of Saglek and the Labrador Sea.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters except Lake
Melville.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
