Issued 4:00 PM NST 20 January 2018 Tonight and Sunday At 4:00 p.m. NST today trough located on a line east-west over
Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Sunday dissipating trough located over Labrador
Sea.

At 4:00 p.m. NST today low 974 mb located over the southeastern
East Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Sunday low 979 mb located over the northeastern
Northwest Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:48 PM NST 20 January 2018 A trough of low pressure over the Labrador Sea will gradually weaken
tonight. Strong to gale force north to northeasterlies can be
expected north and west of the trough with strong to gale force
westerlies to its south. Meanwhile, a developing low pressure system
will track slowly northwestward across the East Labrador Sea tonight.
This system will bring gale force northwesterlies to western waters
on Sunday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect all
waters except Lake Melville.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the South Labrador Sea and Northwest Labrador Sea.
