Issued 9:30 AM NST 20 January 2019 Today Tonight and Monday At 9:30 a.m. NST today low 980 mb located east of the South
Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 p.m. NST tonight low 988 mb located south of Greenland.

At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight low 987 mb located over the Gulf of Maine.
By 9:30 p.m. NST Monday low 986 mb located over the Gulf of
St. Lawrence.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:55 AM NST 20 January 2019 An intense low pressure system east of the South Labrador Sea will
move to lie south of Greenland by this evening. Gale to storm force
winds can be expected around this low over most waters. Winds will
gradually diminish today as the low moves away.

Another area of low pressure will move to lie over the Gulf of St.
Lawrence on Monday where it will remain nearly stationary until late
Tuesday. A warm front associated with this low will extend
northeastward towards Southern Labrador on Monday. Strong to gale
force northeasterlies will develop ahead of this feature over
southern waters.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
South Labrador Sea and East Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in effect
for all remaining waters except North Labrador Coast.

Marine interests are advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all regions with open water.
