By 9:30 a.m. NST today dissipating low located over Labrador Coast.
At 4:00 a.m. NST today trough located on a line northwest-southeast
over Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Monday trough located on a line east-west over
the Strait of Belle Isle.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:51 AM NST 8 February 2026 A trough of low pressure over the Labrador Sea will move southward tolie over the Strait of Belle Isle tonight, and continue southward
over Newfoundland on Monday. Strong to gale force east to
northeasterlies to the north of the trough will persist throughout
the forecast period.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
South Labrador Sea, Northwest Labrador Sea - southern half, and East
Labrador Sea - southern half.
