Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 9:30 AM NST 10 December 2018 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 9:30 a.m. NST today trough located on a line east-west over
Belle Isle Bank.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Tuesday trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over Funk Island Bank.

At 9:30 a.m. NST today quasi-stationary trough located over the
coast of Greenland.

At 9:30 a.m. NST today building ridge located over western Labrador.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:20 AM NST 10 December 2018 A trough of low pressure over the Belle Isle Bank will drift slowly
southeastward through the forecast period. Meanwhile, a ridge of high
pressure will continue to slowly build across Labrador and another
trough will stall off Greenland. Gale force north to northwesterlies
will persist over most waters throughout the forecast period between
these features.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Lake Melville.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters.
