Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 PM NDT 7 October 2026 Tonight and Thursday At 4:00 p.m. NDT today low 982 mb located over the South Labrador
Sea.
By 9:30 a.m. NDT Thursday departing low 988 mb located southeast
of Greenland.

At 4:00 p.m. NDT today ridge located over western Labrador.
By 4:00 p.m. NDT Thursday ridge located over the South Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:57 PM NDT 7 October 2026 A low pressure system over the South Labrador Sea will continue
tracking eastward to lie south of Greenland by overnight tonight,
continuing eastward on Thursday.

Strong to gale force north to northwesterlies behind the low will
gradually diminish through tonight as a ridge approaches from the
west.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Lake Melville and East Labrador Sea.
