Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 PM NST 20 February 2024 Tonight and Wednesday At 4:00 p.m. NST today quasi-stationary low 959 mb located southeast
of Greenland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:54 PM NST 20 February 2024 An intense low pressure system will remain quasi-stationary southeast
of Greenland throughout the forecast period. Gale to storm force west
to northwesterlies will persist west of the low.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
South Labrador Sea and Northwest Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in
effect for all remaining waters except Lake Melville.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all regions with open water.
