By 4:00 a.m. NST Saturday low 970 mb located east of the East
Labrador Sea.
At 4:00 a.m. NST Saturday building ridge located over Labrador.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:27 AM NST 27 January 2023 An intense low pressure system over South Labrador Sea will cross themarine district today. Gale force south to southeasterly winds ahead
of the low will shift to gale to storm force west to northwesterlies
in its wake. Winds will ease tonight and Saturday as a ridge of high
pressure builds in from the west.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Mid Labrador Coast, North Labrador Coast, and the Labrador Sea.
A gale warning is in effect for South Labrador Coast.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all regions with open water.
