Issued 4:00 AM NST 26 February 2021 Today Tonight and Saturday At 4:00 a.m. NST today trough located over the South Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Saturday departing trough located over Funk
Island Bank.

At 4:00 a.m. NST Saturday approaching trough located over northern
Quebec.

At 4:00 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line north-south over
Quebec.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Saturday ridge located from the Northwest Labrador
Sea to the Maritimes.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:41 AM NST 26 February 2021 A trough of low pressure over the South Labrador Sea will continue
southward today and tonight. Strong to gale force northwesterlies are
expected in the wake trough and ahead of a ridge of high pressure
moving in from the west.

Another trough of low pressure is expected to approach the district
on Saturday. Gale force northwesterlies will develop over
northwestern waters late on Saturday behind this trough.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Lake Melville, and East Labrador Sea.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
