Gale warning in effect.

Wind west 25 knots except east 30 over northern sections. Wind increasing to northwest 35 to 45 this afternoon except northeast 30 over northern sections. Wind becoming northwest 25 to 35 near midnight then diminishing to variable 10 to 15 late overnight. Wind increasing to southeast 30 near noon Friday then veering to southwest 30 Friday evening.

Rain and fog patches changing to showers this evening and ending overnight. Rain Friday late in the day.

Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 9:30 AM NDT 16 September 2021 Today Tonight and Friday At 9:30 a.m. NDT today low 994 mb located east of the Torngat
Mountains.
By 4:00 a.m. NDT Friday low 996 mb located near Cape Farewell.

At 4:00 a.m. NDT Friday approaching low 986 mb located over
Hudson Bay.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:14 AM NDT 16 September 2021 A low pressure system will cross the Northern Labrador Sea from west
to east today. Strong to gale force west to northwesterlies will
develop over most waters today in the wake of the low.

A second low is expected to cross Northern Quebec from the west on
Friday. Gale force westerlies will develop over northern waters late
in the day on Friday as the low nears Cape Chidley.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
North Labrador Coast and the Labrador Sea.
