Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:40 AM NST 27 January 2023 An intense low pressure system over Lake Melville will cross theLabrador Sea today. Gale to storm force southeasterly to
northeasterly winds ahead of the low will shift to gale to storm
force west to northwesterlies in its wake. Winds will ease tonight
and Saturday as a ridge of high pressure builds in from the west.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
all waters except Lake Melville where a gale warning is in effect.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all regions with open water.
