Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 9:30 PM NST 28 November 2022 Tonight and Tuesday At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight quasi-stationary low 978 mb located over
the northern East Labrador Sea.

At 4:00 a.m. NST Tuesday approaching ridge located on a line
north-south over Quebec.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:30 PM NST 28 November 2022 A low pressure system located over the Northern East Labrador Sea
will remain nearly stationary tonight before moving east of the
district on Tuesday evening. Strong northwesterlies west of the low
will strengthen to gale force over northern waters tonight.

As the low moves east of the marine district, a ridge will approach
from the west and gale force northwesterlies are expected to spread
across most waters between these two features.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Lake Melville.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Lake Melville, the Labrador coast, and Northwest Labrador
Sea.
