Consolidated first-year ice along parts of the coast. Strong ice pressure along parts of the coast in the southern section developing this afternoon and easing Monday morning.

Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 AM NDT 24 March 2025 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 4:00 a.m. NDT today low 976 mb located over the East Labrador
Sea.
By 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight quasi-stationary low 984 mb located over
the Northwest Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:58 AM NDT 24 March 2025 A low pressure system over the East Labrador Sea will move to lie
over the Northern Labrador Sea today, where it will remain nearly
stationary into Tuesday. Strong to gale force northwesterlies are
expected to the north and west of the low, and gale force
southeasterlies to its east.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Lake Melville and South Labrador Coast.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the South Labrador Sea and Northwest Labrador Sea.
