Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 AM NDT 21 March 2019 Today Tonight and Friday At 4:00 a.m. NDT today departing trough located southeast of
Labrador Sea.

At 4:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located over western Labrador.
By 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight departing ridge located over the East
Labrador Sea.

At 4:00 p.m. NDT today approaching low 986 mb located over northern
Quebec.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:51 AM NDT 21 March 2019 A trough of low pressure just southeast of the Labrador Sea will
continue to move east of the marine district this morning. Strong to
gale northwesterlies are forecast in its wake today for the Labrador
Sea.

A second area of low pressure will move over northern waters
overnight and then deepen on Friday. Strong to gale force
southwesterlies are forecast ahead of this low and gale force
northwesterlies are expected behind it.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect North
Labrador Coast and the Labrador Sea.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
