Issued 4:00 PM NST 8 December 2019 Tonight and Monday At 4:00 p.m. NST today departing trough located on a linenortheast-southwest over Belle Isle Bank.
At 4:00 p.m. NST today low 992 mb located over the East Labrador
Sea.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Monday low 990 mb located north of the Marine
District.
At 4:00 p.m. NST today ridge located from the Torngat Mountains
to the Maritimes.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Monday departing ridge located east of Labrador
Sea.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Monday building ridge located on a line east-west
over Labrador.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:52 PM NST 8 December 2019 A low pressure system over the East Labrador Sea will cause galeforce northerlies to westerlies in the vicinity of the low tonight.
Winds will diminish on Monday as the low tracks north of the
district.
Later on Monday, a ridge of high pressure will build over Labrador.
Gale force westerlies will develop over northwestern waters between
the exiting trough and the building ridge.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
North Labrador Coast, Northwest Labrador Sea and East Labrador Sea.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except East Labrador Sea.
