Issued 4:00 AM NST 9 December 2023 Today Tonight and Sunday At 4:00 a.m. NST today low 952 mb located east of Belle Isle Bank.
By 9:30 p.m. NST tonight departing low 967 mb located southeast
of the Marine District.

At 9:00 p.m. NST tonight low 994 mb located over northern Ontario.
By 9:00 p.m. NST Sunday low 989 mb located near Ungava Bay.

At 4:00 a.m. NST today ridge located from Ungava Bay to New England.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Sunday ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over the Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:50 AM NST 9 December 2023 A low pressure system east of Belle Isle Bank will remain nearly
stationary today before it tracks to the east tonight. Strong to gale
force north to northwesterlies will diminish today as a ridge begins
to move in from the west.

A second low pressure system is forecast to develop over Northern
Ontario tonight and track northeast to lie near Ungava Bay Sunday
evening. Strong to gale force south to southwesterlies are expected
to develop ahead of the system on Sunday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Lake Melville.
