Wind northwest 40 to 50 knots diminishing to west 35 this morning with gusts to 50 near fjords. Wind diminishing to northwest 25 late this afternoon then increasing to north 35 to 45 Friday morning. Wind increasing to north 55 Friday afternoon except east 25 over southern sections Friday evening.

Snow ending this afternoon. Snow beginning late overnight. Visibility 1 mile or less in snow.

Freezing spray warning in effect.

Temperatures minus 4 to zero falling to minus 10 to minus 6 this afternoon then rising to minus 2 to plus 2 Friday morning.

Issued 4:00 AM NST 22 November 2018 Today Tonight and Friday At 4:00 a.m. NST today deepening low 962 mb located over the South
Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Friday departing low 972 mb located north of the
Northwest Labrador Sea.

At 4:00 p.m. NST today intensifying low 988 mb located over western
Newfoundland.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Friday low 976 mb located over the South Labrador
Coast.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:54 AM NST 22 November 2018 A deepening low pressure system over the South Labrador Sea will
continue to move northwards today. Storm to hurricane force winds
will continue in the vicinity of the low today and tonight.
Winds will weaken to strong to gale force westerlies as the low pulls
away to the north overnight.

A second intensifying low will approach from the south tonight.
Gale to storm force northeasterlies will spread over most waters
tonight and Friday ahead of this system.

Marine interests are advised that hurricane force wind warnings are
in effect for North Labrador Coast and the Labrador Sea. A storm
warning is in effect for Mid Labrador Coast. Gale warnings are in
effect for all remaining waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except East Labrador Sea.
