Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 9:30 PM NDT 23 September 2018 Tonight and Monday At 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight quasi-stationary low 966 mb located over
the East Labrador Sea.

At 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight trough from 966 mb low located on a line
northeast-southwest over the South Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 a.m. NDT Monday trough located on a line north-south over
the East Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:18 PM NDT 23 September 2018 An intense low pressure system over the East Labrador Sea will remain
nearly stationary and slowly weaken. A trough extending from the low
into the South Labrador Sea will pivot around the low tonight.

Gale to storm force west to southwesterlies south of the trough will
shift to gale force northwesterlies in its wake. Winds will diminish
to strong to gale force northwesterly on Monday as the low weakens.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
the South Labrador Sea and East Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in
effect for all remaining waters.
