Issued 9:30 AM NDT 21 September 2018 Today Tonight and Saturday At 9:30 a.m. NDT today low 1005 mb located northeast of Ungava Bay.
By 4:00 p.m. NDT today quasi-stationary low 1002 mb located north
of the Northwest Labrador Sea.

At 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight intensifying low 977 mb located over
Quebec.
By 9:30 p.m. NDT Saturday low 961 mb located over the South
Labrador Sea.

At 9:30 a.m. NDT today ridge located over the East Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 p.m. NDT today departing ridge located east of the East
Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:22 AM NDT 21 September 2018 A low pressure system approaching from the southwest will intensify
into Major fall storm as it moves across Western Labrador Saturday
morning, then off the Mid Labrador Coast Saturday evening. Gale to
storm force southeasterly to northeasterly winds will spread across
all waters on Saturday ahead of the low. Winds will shift to gale to
storm force southwesterly to northwesterly later on Saturday over
coastal waters behind the low. Winds are likely to approach or
exceed hurricane force over parts of the Mid Labrador Coast and South
Labrador Sea Saturday night into Sunday.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
all waters except Northwest Labrador Sea where a gale warning is in
effect.
