Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:22 AM NDT 21 September 2018 A low pressure system approaching from the southwest will intensify
into Major fall storm as it moves across Western Labrador Saturday
morning, then off the Mid Labrador Coast Saturday evening. Gale to
storm force southeasterly to northeasterly winds will spread across
all waters on Saturday ahead of the low. Winds will shift to gale to
storm force southwesterly to northwesterly later on Saturday over
coastal waters behind the low. Winds are likely to approach or
exceed hurricane force over parts of the Mid Labrador Coast and South
Labrador Sea Saturday night into Sunday.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
all waters except Northwest Labrador Sea where a gale warning is in
