Issued 9:30 AM NST 14 December 2017 Today Tonight and Friday At 9:30 a.m. NST today intensifying low 965 mb located over
Labrador.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Friday low 956 mb located over northern Labrador.

At 4:00 p.m. NST today intensifying low 995 mb located south of
Nova Scotia.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Friday low 960 mb located over the southern East
Labrador Sea.

At 9:30 a.m. NST today trough from 965 mb low located on a line
northwest-southeast over Belle Isle Bank.
By 9:30 p.m. NST tonight departing trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over northern Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:14 AM NST 14 December 2017 An intensifying low pressure system over Labrador will track
northward to lie over Northern Labrador tonight, where it will remain
nearly stationary and weaken on Friday. Gale to storm force
easterlies ahead of a trough associated with this system will shift
to strong to gale force southerlies in its wake.

A second intensifying low will approach from the southwest to reach
the East Labrador Sea by Friday afternoon, then move northwestward to
merge with the remnants of the first low on Friday night. Gale to
storm force southerlies will increase over southern and eastern
waters on Friday afternoon as this system crosses the East Labrador
Sea.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
all waters except Lake Melville and South Labrador Coast, where gale
warnings are in effect.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except the East Labrador Sea.
