Issued 9:30 AM NDT 9 March 2026 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 9:30 a.m. NDT today low 980 mb located north of the MarineDistrict.
By 4:00 p.m. NDT today weakening low 988 mb located north of the
Marine District.
At 4:00 a.m. NDT Tuesday deepening low 990 mb located over western
Labrador.
By 9:30 p.m. NDT Tuesday low 979 mb located southeast of the East
Labrador Sea.
At 9:30 a.m. NDT today ridge located over Labrador Coast.
By 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight departing ridge located over the East
Labrador Sea.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:21 AM NDT 9 March 2026 A low pressure north of the marine district will weaken thisafternoon. Strong to gale force westerlies over northern waters will
diminish as the low weakens.
A second area of low pressure will move over Western Labrador tonight
before crossing the southern marine district Tuesday afternoon.
Winds will increase to strong southwesterlies ahead of the low and
gale force northwesterlies as it passes.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
