Issued 9:30 AM NST 19 January 2019 Today Tonight and Sunday At 9:30 a.m. NST today low 984 mb located northeast of Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 p.m. NST tonight departing low 993 mb located northeast
of the Marine District.

At 9:30 a.m. NST today intensifying low 999 mb located over
southeastern Labrador.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Sunday low 976 mb located southeast of the East
Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:22 AM NST 19 January 2019 A low pressure system just northeast of the Labrador Sea will move
northeastward away from the marine district today. Gale to storm
force west to northwesterlies will diminish today as the low moves
away.

A second low over Southeastern Labrador will rapidly intensify as it
moves to lie over the South Labrador Sea this afternoon. The low will
move to lie south of Greenland Sunday afternoon. Gale to storm force
winds can be expected around this low except over the South Labrador
Sea where hurricane force westerlies are forecast. Winds will
gradually diminish on Sunday as the low moves away.

Marine interests are advised that a hurricane force wind warning is
in effect for the South Labrador Sea. Storm warnings are in effect
for the Mid Labrador Coast and East Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are
in effect for all remaining waters except Lake Melville and North
Labrador Coast.

Marine interests are advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all regions with open water.
