Issued 4:00 AM NST 20 February 2018 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 4:00 a.m. NST today low 1012 mb located over the South Labrador
Sea.
By 9:30 p.m. NST tonight quasi-stationary low 986 mb located
southeast of Greenland.

At 4:00 a.m. NST today quasi-stationary trough located southeast
of Greenland.

At 4:00 a.m. NST today ridge located over northern Quebec.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Wednesday ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over central Labrador.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:50 AM NST 20 February 2018 Strong to gale force westerlies will persist today over northern
waters between a trough of low pressure southeast of Greenland and a
ridge of high pressure over Central Quebec.

Meanwhile, a low pressure system over the South Labrador Sea will
move to lie southeast of Greenland by tonight. Strong to gale force
southwesterlies ahead of the low will veer to strong to gale force
northwesterlies in its wake. Winds are expected to diminish Wednesday
as a ridge of high pressure approaches from the west.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
water except Lake Melville and South Labrador Coast.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
