Wind northwest 25 knots except south 25 over eastern sections late this afternoon and gusts to 35 near fjords late this afternoon and this evening. Wind diminishing to west 15 to 20 late overnight and to west 10 to 15 Tuesday morning. Wind becoming variable 10 to 15 Tuesday afternoon.

Showers or flurries and fog patches becoming flurries this evening. Visibility 1 mile or less in fog patches and as low as 1 mile in flurries.

Temperatures zero falling to minus 8 Tuesday morning.

Issued 4:00 PM NDT 20 April 2026 Tonight and Tuesday At 4:00 p.m. NDT today trough located on a line north-south over
the Northwest Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 p.m. NDT Tuesday trough located on a line
northwest-southeast over the East Labrador Sea.

At 4:00 p.m. NDT today quasi-stationary ridge located over eastern
Greenland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 12:48 PM NDT 20 April 2026 A trough of low pressure over the Northwest Labrador Sea will slowly
move eastward to lie over the East Labrador Sea by Tuesday morning,
while a ridge of high pressure over Eastern Greenland remains nearly
stationary. Gale to storm force south to southeasterlies ahead of the
trough will shift to strong to gale force northwesterlies in its
wake.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
East Labrador Sea. A gale warning is in effect for Northwest Labrador
Sea.
